Herkimer County HealthNet is a grant funded non-profit that focuses on raising awareness of healthcare needs in rural Herkimer County. We advocate for systemic changes and work to reduce health disparities in our rural area.
What we do
The Mission of Herkimer County HealthNet is to improve the health and well-being of individuals who live, work, play, and learn in Herkimer County.
Through collaboration, we regularly identify health and human service needs in Herkimer County and facilitate programming to address those needs.

National Diabetes Prevention
Individuals with prediabetes can learn lifestyle change programs to reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes and improve their overall health.
Chronic Condition Self Management
FREE 6 week workshop
Support for people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, breathing problems, depression, anxiety, heart conditions, and arthritis.
Freshstart Smoking Cessation
3 week program
A program developed by the American Cancer Society to provide essential information, skills for coping with cravings, and group support.
Address the Needs

Collaboration lies at the heart of everything we do. By partnering with other nonprofits, government entities, businesses, and community groups, we are able to address a wide range of issues that affect our community members.
